Terms & Conditions

This quotation is subject to your acceptance of the following terms and conditions:

GENERAL TERMS

  • The quotation is valid for 15 calendar days from the date it is hand delivered or sent electronically.

  • All materials installed, supplied and/or fitted (“the product”) remain the property of CONCEPT LUXURY FINISHES CC until full payment has been received. Risk passes to the consumer upon delivery.

  • Natural fibre products will show colour and weave variances. These are characteristics of the product and not faults.

  • Natural fibres shrink and expand. A variance of up to 5cm will be allowed on all custom-made natural fibre rugs. Wall-to-wall installations may expand.

  • Custom-made rugs must be collected immediately upon notification. Delivery charges will apply.

  • Unless otherwise agreed, all uplifted materials will be removed and disposed of.

  • It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the existing floor surface is level prior to commencement. The company will not be held responsible for damage due to uneven flooring.

  • Floor rectification can be done at an additional cost once existing flooring has been lifted.

  • No responsibility will be taken for breakages to skirting and quadrants during installation.

  • If installation proceeds against company advice, written instruction is required and liability for resulting damages is waived.

  • Kick plates must be secure before flooring installation. Movement-related damage will not be the company’s responsibility.

  • Clients must remove valuables and furniture before work begins. The company is not liable for damage or loss.

  • Clients must provide access to electricity and water. If power is unavailable, a generator will be hired at the client’s expense.

  • Electrical cables and phone lines must be disconnected prior to work.

  • Timber staining may result in colour tone variations.

  • An 80% deposit is required prior to commencement (unless otherwise agreed in writing). Balance is due upon completion or by close of business the following day.

  • Minimum 3 business days’ notice is required before work commences.

  • Cancellation after materials are ordered will incur a minimum 50% deposit cancellation fee.

  • Complaints must be lodged in writing within 3 business days of completion.

  • Only 5% of payment may be withheld for written complaints lodged within 10 days.

  • Jurisdiction is agreed to the Magistrate’s Court (Section 45, Act 32 of 1944).

  • Legal recovery costs, including VAT and collection commission, will be payable by the client.

  • Public holiday/weekend installations may incur additional charges.

  • Prices are subject to exchange rate fluctuations.

  • Overdue payments attract 3% interest per month.

  • If sites are not ready on installation day, a call-out fee will apply.

  • JBCC Contract provisions do not apply to CONCEPT LUXURY FINISHES CC.

  • Clients must protect installed flooring from damage by other contractors.

  • Installation is conducted per Supplier Installation Manual.

  • Sun protection measures must be in place prior to installation.

  • All quotations are subject to onsite inspection.


LVT & WOOD LAMINATE INSTALLATION

  • Concrete moisture levels must be below 3%.

  • Boards must acclimatise flat on-site for 48 hours.

  • A firm, level, dry floor is required.

  • Standard insulating underlay is installed.

  • 12–14mm expansion gap required around perimeter.

  • All tiling, painting and electrical work must be completed prior to installation.

  • Flooring must not be exposed to excessive damp.

  • Spills must be removed immediately.

  • No liability for scratches after installation.

  • Underfloor heating must not exceed 26°C and must meet recommended specifications.


ENGINEERED OAK INSTALLATION

  • Sub-floor moisture must be below 3%.

  • Moisture barrier required; declining voids warranties.

  • Client must ensure level substrate.

  • 48-hour acclimatisation required.

  • Dust-free environment required for on-site oil finishes.

  • Minimum screed strength requirements apply.

  • 15–18mm expansion gap required.

  • Thickness levels must be checked by builder.

  • Pre-finished flooring requires no further treatment unless quoted.

  • Snags must be reported within 7 days.

  • Underfloor heating must follow supplier guidelines.

Important Natural Product Disclaimer:

  • Wood varies in colour, tonality, knots and grain.

  • Samples are representative only.

  • Up to 20% of boards may be shorter/composite boards.

  • No sorting due to perceived colour variation.

  • Environmental factors may cause expansion, contraction, joint opening and colour change.

  • Gaps up to 2mm in dry months are normal.

  • Sunlight may cause fading/darkening.

  • UV protection measures are strongly advised prior to installation.

  • Excessive sunlight may cause expansion, delamination or cracking.

  • Humidifiers may be required in dry environments.


CARPETS

  • Joins may be visible due to carpet nature.

  • Standard underlay included unless otherwise requested.

  • No liability for manufacturer defects (assistance will be provided).

  • No liability for dye lot differences.


DIY ORDERS & RUGS

  • 100% payment required upfront.

  • Colour choice subject to availability.


WARRANTIES

  • Manufacturer provides factory defect commercial warranty (labour excluded).

  • CONCEPT LUXURY FINISHES CC provides a 1-year installation warranty.

  • Warranty valid only once full payment has been received.


By accepting or signing this quotation, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms and conditions and have received any guarantees or warranties applicable to your product. No amendments or variations will be binding unless agreed to in writing and signed by both parties.
